Washington Post Prom Fundraiser

Washington High School Class of 2024 year-end festivities are fast approaching!  Please help the graduating seniors celebrate in a safe, drug and alcohol free event when the dance concludes.  ANY WHS Senior may attend Post Prom, they need not attend the dance to participate! Post Prom is a FREE and CHAPERONED after-party with food, games, and prizes!

The event is funded entirely through monetary donations and only happens because of the support of the senior families.  We have a tradition of asking the underclassman families to pay it forward with a small monetary donation and to volunteer at the event for continuity year-to-year. In turn, each post prom committee leaves behind a nest egg to kickstart the following year’s post prom.

We welcome gifts of any amount, and your donation to the WHS Post Prom account at the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation is fully tax-deductible.  We also welcome matching gifts from employers.  All donors will be acknowledged in the program at Senior Recognition Night. Partnering with the Foundation has provided the committee with financial oversight and administrative assistance to ensure longevity for years to come.
