Each October, the Cedar Rapids Community Schools Foundation’s annual Staff Payroll Deduction Program via the Combined Charitable Campaign provides all District employees an opportunity to make a personal investment in public education in Cedar Rapids. Support from school employees is vital to the Foundation in its continuing efforts to support the District’s 31 schools.
Employees’ tax-deductible donations are used by the Foundation, along with other contributions, to continue its programs on behalf of staff and students. Programs include Student Enrichment Grants for classroom needs, School Project Grants that fund equipment and projects, field trip grants, professional development grants for faculty and staff, employee recognition events, and other worthy educational programs for which other funds are either not available or are in short supply.
The Foundation would like to encourage all employees to participate in the annual Staff Payroll Deduction program that kicks off each Fall as part of the Combined Charitable Campaign.
* All donations received via the Staff Payroll Deduction Campaign go 100% back into programs — no staff overhead!
* Each year employees must renew their payroll deduction contribution via the online giving portal. Participation does NOT roll over year to year.
* The CRCSF is not a United Way supported organization. A donation to United Way does not come back to support Foundation programs.
