2019 was a whirlwind of celebration for the Foundation. We marked 35 years of mission driven work to provide financial support to and promote excellence in the Cedar Rapids Public Schools. We also celebrated reaching $1 million in assets – a significant milestone for a public school foundation. But perhaps most significant was the creation of The Legacy Society.
The Legacy Society was created to express appreciation and recognition to individuals committed to Cedar Rapids public school education. The Legacy Society honors those whose meaningful planning and foresight will advance the mission of the Foundation.
As members of the Cedar Rapids community, you play a vital role in public school education and student success. Directing all or a portion of your estate to the Foundation enables you to make gifts that may not be possible during your lifetime. Your philanthropic generosity opens the doors to more vibrant education, helping make every learner future ready.
